Terms of Use

Last updated:

Introduction

These Terms govern your use of arvinstewart.com and the educational content, tools, downloadable resources, Excel workbooks, datasets, templates, formulas, examples, Campaign Workspace and other materials and features made available through the site (the Services).

By using the site, you agree to follow these Terms. These Terms do not create a professional advisory relationship. Information handling is described in the Privacy Policy.

Site and Educational Content

The site provides Excel Answers, articles, formulas, examples, workflow guidance, advertising and data-analysis discussions, apps, tools, and related materials for education, professional development, productivity, experimentation, and general informational purposes.

You are responsible for evaluating whether any formula, calculation, workflow, recommendation, output, or example is appropriate for your situation before relying on it.

Downloads, Workbooks, Templates and Data Files

Unless a specific resource states otherwise, you receive a limited license to download the resource, use it personally, use it for education or professional development, modify it for your own use, use it internally within your own organization or employment, and use outputs or results produced through the workbook, template, dataset, or tool in your ordinary work.

This license applies to legitimate use of the resource and the work product you create with it. For example, you may use a workbook to produce your own analysis or reporting. You may not simply rename the workbook and sell the workbook itself.

You may not, unless a specific resource license permits it:

  • Resell the original workbook, template, dataset, or downloadable resource.
  • Redistribute copies publicly or rehost the resource as your own download.
  • Upload the resource to template marketplaces or public file libraries.
  • Claim authorship of the underlying resource.
  • Remove or obscure ownership notices for the purpose of redistributing the resource.
  • Package substantially the same resource into another template library, downloadable product, or competing resource.
  • Sublicense or sell access to the underlying file.
  • Use the file primarily to create a competing downloadable or template product.

Mock and Sample Data

Mock or sample datasets provided through the site are fictional or synthetic unless explicitly stated otherwise. They are intended for learning, testing, demonstration, experimentation, and internal evaluation.

Sample data should not be interpreted as actual campaign, client, advertiser, employer, or business performance. You may modify sample data for internal testing or educational purposes, but the redistribution and resale restrictions for downloadable resources also apply to those datasets.

Excel Apps and Tools

Excel apps, calculators, templates, and other tools may change, be updated, contain errors, produce results that depend on your inputs, and rely on browser functionality or third-party services. Site features, tools, and resources may not be available without interruption.

You are responsible for reviewing tool outputs, workbook calculations, formulas, analytics, and generated results before using them for decisions, reporting, client work, operational workflows, or business activity.

Your Campaign Data and Authorization

You are responsible for having the authority and permissions needed to use, process, transform, save, export and share the information you provide. This includes campaign, client, advertiser, account-related and marketing performance data. We do not verify ownership or authorization. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your data to us.

Do not select files, save data locally or distribute dashboards containing information you are not authorized to use in that way. Column names, campaign names and derived dimensions can themselves contain confidential or personal information. Consider both the data and its labels before using or sharing an output.

Transformations and Analytical Outputs

Campaign Workspace may map, match, normalize, combine, parse, split, transform, enrich, aggregate, derive or calculate information according to your settings and the structure of the supplied data. Outputs include normalized Master Data, mappings and matches, parsed and custom fields, calculated KPIs, dashboards, charts, Data Quality results, exports and shared dashboard snapshots.

Suggested mappings can be incorrect. Matching and parsing depend on source consistency and your selected keys, delimiters and rules. Incorrect settings can produce unintended results, and Data Quality checks may not identify every issue. Review source mappings, conflicts, transformations and outputs before relying on them.

Calculated metrics, dashboards and any scenario estimates are informational tools, not a guarantee of financial or business outcomes or a substitute for appropriate professional advice. Source errors, missing values, overlapping reports and differing platform definitions can affect results. Reach and other non-additive metrics require particular care. Validate derived data, totals and exports before reporting or making decisions.

Local Processing and Saved Workspaces

Ordinary report analysis runs in your browser. Saved setups retain configuration; optional saved Workspaces also retain normalized data on that browser/device. Once you choose to save a Workspace, later changes may be saved automatically. Original uploaded file bytes are not saved, and local Workspaces are not backed up or synced to our servers.

Browser storage is provided for convenience. Records can be cleared, corrupted, evicted, unavailable or removed through browser/device behavior. Keep your own source files, exports and backups; do not use the Services as the sole copy of important data. Deleting a local Workspace does not revoke a separately shared dashboard or remove copies already exported or downloaded.

Dashboard Sharing

Creating a share link sends the selected, previewed dashboard snapshot to server-side infrastructure. Review what is included, confirm your authority to disclose it, and distribute the link only as appropriate. Anyone with the link can view the available snapshot without signing in. Names, custom labels and aggregate values may expose information even when source files are not included.

Recipients may copy or retain what they see. Revocation stops future retrieval through the application but cannot recall recipient copies or erase a view already loaded. Links may expire, be revoked or become unavailable. Local deletion and server-side revocation are separate actions; clearing browser storage can remove your saved management access without revoking the link.

Exports and Workbook Compatibility

Campaign Workspace Master Data exports use standardized headers under Arvin Campaign Data Schema v1. Custom or derived fields may extend the core schema. Compatibility with a particular workbook or application should be relied on only where it has been specifically tested and stated; do not assume every external workbook accepts an export. Review field names, data types and calculations when using exported information elsewhere.

Verification and No Warranty

Formulas, workbook calculations, examples, datasets, analytics, tools, templates, and outputs are provided without a guarantee of accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted availability, or fitness for a specific purpose.

You should independently verify calculations, formulas, outputs, datasets, and business decisions before relying on them.

User-Submitted Excel Questions

If you submit an Excel question, example, or reference link, you represent that you have the right to submit the material you provide. You should not submit confidential employer or client information, proprietary datasets you are not authorized to share, trade secrets, login credentials, passwords, personal financial information, health information, or other sensitive personal information.

Submitted questions may be reviewed and may inspire future educational content. A question may be edited, generalized, anonymized, or paraphrased before publication. Your private email address is used according to the site's Privacy Policy and will not be published as part of an Excel Answer.

Confidential and Third-Party Information

Do not use question forms, uploads, local saves, exports, links or other site features to process or disclose information without the required authority. This includes employer confidential information, client confidential information, proprietary datasets, trade secrets, credentials, personal financial information, health information, or other sensitive personal information.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the site's original content, design, Excel Answers, articles, downloadable resources, workbook structures, templates, educational materials, apps, and tools remain owned by arvinstewart.com or their respective owners. Your rights are limited to the licenses granted in these Terms or in a resource-specific license.

These Terms do not claim ownership of Microsoft Excel, third-party trademarks, user-owned materials, or third-party linked materials. Third-party names, logos, services, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Links and Third-Party Services

The Services use providers such as Vercel for hosting, Sanity for content, Google for analytics and advertising, and configured Upstash storage for hosted dashboard sharing. Form receivers and external reference sites may also have their own terms and policies. See the Privacy Policy for their roles and information handling.

Advertising and Commercial Content

The site may contain advertising, sponsored content, affiliate links, promotions, paid partnerships, or other commercial content where applicable. Material sponsorships or paid relationships will be identified where appropriate.

Privacy and data-use details for analytics, advertising, forms, and related services are described in the Privacy Policy. You can withdraw promotional email or advertising/audience permission through Privacy Choices.

Business Inquiries

Service inquiry forms help start a conversation about spreadsheet, workflow, automation, replacement, or workbook-maintenance problems. Submitting an inquiry does not create a consulting agreement, paid engagement, service-level commitment, or guarantee that a project will be accepted. Any paid work would require a separate agreement.

Prohibited Use

You may not use the site or its resources to:

  • Violate applicable law or the rights of others.
  • Interfere with or attempt to disrupt site operation.
  • Attempt to bypass security, access controls, or authentication systems.
  • Use abusive-scale scraping or automation that harms site availability.
  • Redistribute or resell resources in violation of the download license.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship to a third party.
  • Submit malicious code, deceptive links, spam, or abusive form submissions.
  • Misuse question submission forms or other communication features.

This section is not intended to prohibit ordinary search-engine crawling that respects the site's public crawling rules.

Availability and Changes

Site content, features, tools and resources may be updated, modified or discontinued. Browser support, file formats, dataset limits, schema extensions and dashboard features can change; current compatibility does not promise permanent support. Indefinite availability of saved configurations, local Workspaces, share links or downloadable exports is not guaranteed. Retain copies you need independently.

These Terms may also be changed prospectively. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated date, and continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, arvinstewart.com and its owner will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on formulas, datasets, workbook outputs, analytics, educational examples, tool availability, or site content.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.

Governing Law

No governing-law choice has been established for these Terms. A governing-law provision may be added later when the appropriate business and legal choice has been selected.

For promotional email or advertising/audience withdrawal requests, use the existing Privacy Choices form. A dedicated public contact method for other questions about these Terms is not currently published.
